This is a drawstring purse, call kinchaku in Japanese, which is made with Japanese cotton fabric. It is a beautiful Japanese Cotton Chirimen. Please note that cotton chirimen is embossed fabric with a chirimen-like crinkled and uneven texture. Those embossed effects will be fade out or lost by washing, specially ironing. Real traditional Chirimen is silk, but these type of cotton chirimen is now popular because they are less expensive than silk, and also easier to take care.

The cord is Edo uchihimo, and I added wood beads for the accent. Inside is lined with a turquoise solid cotton fabric. It is great for carrying your coin purses, keys, lip sticks, sanitary/toiletry items.. whatever you can think of! It is also great for carrying your earphones and cords for your phones/tablets/PCs.

Hand wash preferred, but you can wash in washer, might be better to put it in the laundry net. Hang dry please. You can iron them if you want, but not on strings. :-)
